Here is a chart to help guide you, however, everyone has different-sized necks, so it might not be accurate for you. 

Sizing according to the chart:

42cm / 16nch: Choker size

42-50cm / 16-22inch: Falls right at the base of the neck.

45cm / 18nch": Hits around the collar bone.

50cm / 22inch: Most popular length for pendants.

60cm / 24inch: Falls right above the cleavage.
